PROJECT BRIEF

Gem and Clay was brought in during the framing stage of this custom new build by Payne & Payne Builders. A french chateau-style exterior informed our design and decoration decisions for the interior spaces in this family home. We fully-furnished the main level living spaces and designed custom window treatments for the great room, as well as the primary bedroom, ensuite and upstairs bedrooms. We worked with our experienced upholstery experts to design and build a custom faux-leather banquette, as well as a stunning custom bed for the primary bedroom. We also incorporated wallpaper in a few key areas to invigorate the spaces and put the finishing touches on a timeless and beautiful family home that overlooks a river below.

For a family who has two school-aged children and two cats, this elegant home struck a balance between style and practicality through performance fabrics, vintage pieces and faux leather to resist scratches and remain cleanable. The result is a home that exudes style, incorporates the family’s loves and welcomes guests with approachable luxury.
