PROJECT BRIEF

Gem and Clay was involved in this 2 1/2-year luxury new build from the beginning. Our goal was to develop a fully custom, whole home design for a couple’s forever home. This home needed to be welcoming, not only for the homeowner’s, but for their adult children and their families. We set out to design a transitional home that leaned more contemporary in certain areas and more traditional in others, while weaving a thread of well-traveled artifacts throughout. We partnered with Old World Custom Homes to execute our designs, which include custom millwork and cabinetry design, luxury kitchen and bathroom design, custom wine cellar design and full-service furnishing to completion. .

TRANSITIONAL DESIGN WITH GLOBAL DEPTH

For a family who has roots in Nigeria and who has traveled all over the globe, this classic home has become a one-of-a-kind homage to the couple’s many life stories and a vessel for many new memories to be made.
