This interior design project included renovating the kitchen while preserving the custom cabinetry, installing new flooring throughout the first floor, replacing the front door, updating the lighting in the kitchen and living room, and fully furnishing and decorating the space for a busy young family. The goal was to create an updated space that was good for entertaining and comfortable for a growing family.
The traditional and contemporary interior aesthetic worked well with the colonial architecture of the home. Gray, black and white provided a nice backdrop to the orange and green accents throughout the home. To avoid it looking too formal, we added plenty of pops of color and texture and for functionality we included decorative storage in every room.
The end result was a cozy place to come home to, with the ideal design for entertaining guests. The rooms were designed with versatility in mind, making it easy to use many of the chosen furniture and decor pieces in multiple rooms as the family grows.
